
The purpose of the FSKL is to provide quality traditional karate events which serve to enhance American Karate by bringing Florida Karate athletes up to Olympic standards.
All FSKL sponsored tournaments use the same rules of competition set forth by the World karate Federation and the USA National Karate-Do Federation.
The second FSKL tournament of the year will be the Sunshine State Games held in Lakeland, FL on June 23rd in the Lakeland Center. For more information on the event, including online registration - you can click here - Sunshine State Games.

The Katsu Challenge is a traditional karate tournament hosted by Katsu Dojo. It is held each year in March on the University of Florida Campus in the Stephen C. O'Connell Center in Gainesville. The Sunshine State Games is the Olympics for the State of Florida with over 25 different amateur athletic events including karate. World Karate Federation The WKF is the international karate federation that is recognized by the IOC. |

The FSKL uses the sport karate rules established by the WKF and USANKF. All tournaments sponsored by the FSKL use the same format and rules.
